At RadonAway, we know that different homes require different fans, and different fans require different motor specifications – that’s a fact. We consistently bring you the #1 fans in the radon industry in part through our partnerships with the world’s top motor manufacturers. Every motor we source is created to the exacting specifications of our Engineering team in Ward Hill, MA, where American workers proudly build all of our fans.

We have four sources for our motors, which come to us from Germany, France, England, and China. For each and every motor we have ever sourced, we search as long as it takes to find the correct manufacturer to provide the best motor for each specific fan, regardless of where in the world they are located, to best meet all of our engineering requirements – because, like you, we accept only the best. We will never sacrifice quality and effectiveness by using a motor that falls short of our – and your - needs just because it is manufactured in a particular country. In the engineering world, one size does not fit all!

Each of our motors is chosen based on the particular fan’s design and needs. In fact, for the reasons already stated, between 15% and 20% of our fans employ motors from our Chinese supplier, Chikee, which has been widely used and recognized for quality and efficiency within the HVAC(R) industry. We are proud to partner with Chikee, as we are proud to partner with all four of our expert motor manufacturers. Ultimately, our fan motors are selected based on which manufacturer best meets our engineered specifications for a particular fan – it’s as simple as that. 

Other companies may try to sell you on one motor manufacturer being superior to all others for any given fan model – let us set the record straight. Yes, EBM is a top notch motor manufacturer out of Germany, one which we have been working with directly for decades. In fact, we do not just purchase standard model EBM motors, but instead, our skilled Engineers partner with the experts at EBM to manufacture motors custom-built to our rigorous specifications. It should be noted that this collaborative process is on-going with all four of our motor manufacturers.

It has always been our goal to source all of our parts from U.S. manufacturers, but there are simply no motor manufacturers currently based in this country that can meet our stringent specifications while remaining cost effective. Until such a time as we can partner with an American motor company, we are proud to work with all of our partners in bringing you radon fans produced to the highest standards at every stage of manufacturing.
